Enter Cornwall on the A30 and continue to the A391 until you get to the A390 which will take you through St Austell towards Truro. On the left hand side past Pengelly Plant Centre, you will see a slip road, sign posted Tregony/B3287. Follow this road which is a typical Cornish road until you reach a T junction and then turn right following the signs for Tregony. Continue along that road until you see a sign on the left hand side for Caerhays. This road has a huge wind turbine so you cannot miss it.
Follow the signs for Caerhays (approx 2 miles) and when you pass Treberrick Farm, about 200 yards from that you will see a turning to the left and a sign right ahead of you in the hedgerow which says 'Tubbs Mill'. Take that turning to the left and continue down the hill and Tubbs Mill House is on the left hand side with parking opposite.
Tubbs Mill House is a unique, three hundred year old Mill House which we have lovingly restored to keep its original character. It exudes history and roots and although a mass of very hard work to restore both the house and the garden, it was a complete labour of love which was so rewarding. I also enjoy gardening and restoring furniture and you will find many old pieces here which I have restored. There are also many pieces from around the world reflecting the places I have lived in my life. The house also has a lot of art, some my own, as a house with pictures tells a story. I love my garden but, like most avid gardeners, never seem to get enough time in it!
